Any healthy living enthusiast will know there is always a new trend when it comes fitness in the UK, we’ve had spinning, Zumba, Boxercise and so many more – too many to mention if we are honest and that’s a good thing. If you do the same thing day in and day out your body will become used to it and it won’t have the same benefits or affects on your body as it used too. We all know that we can get tired of the same thing all the time too, so these latest fitness trends in the UK can help mix things up a bit and make sure our bodies are getting a real workout.
Of course the biggest trend in fitness recently has been wearable technology such a fitbits and exercise apps that you can download on your smartphone that track what you are doing, when you’re doing and what you are achieving by doing it. Apps and technology are brilliant when it comes to fitness because they encourage us to keep at it, setting us achievable goals and targets we want to beat and surpass. It is only natural that fitness trackers both via apps and accessories will continue to grow and improve and we feel that can only be a good thing.
There have also been even more new trends when it comes to exercise classes and workouts too – like Boxerina which brings together aspects of ballet, boxing and pilates to really get into those deeper stabilising muscles alongside the peripheral muscles to promising to create a sculpted physique for those that regularly complete Boxerina sessions. This is definitely a high octane workout and it will help improve your posture and support a stronger core.
Trampolining is definitely something that is taking the UK by storm with new Bounce, FlipOut and BounceNation venues popping up (or should that be bouncing up?) all over the place. Trampolining venues like this are making fitness fun for kids and adults of all ages and it hasn’t taken long for the fitness industry to get involved too – with a selection of trampolining and rebounding classes all over the UK. Trampoling is ideal for those with problem joints as there is less impact on these areas and trampolining also works those core muscles while helping to improve the health of your heart and your posture. Trampoling and rebounding classes offer a high energy workout but even having a jump on the trampoline with the family will help towards a healthier (and happier) you.
It seems that personal trainers and small group training workouts have been popping up overnight, you only have to pop to your local park or take the dog for a walk and you’ll see a mixture of personal and small group training taking place and classes like this are really good. They get you out in the fresh air, the smaller groups work better as you have to work harder (there’s no slacking off at the back of the class) and the teacher can focus on your technique to ensure you’re working your body to its full potential.
